BARROW COUNTY, Ga. — A school shooting occurred Wednesday morning at Apalachee High School, with the sheriff's office confirming casualties and CNN reporting at least four deaths.
Details were still coming in Wednesday afternoon, and much is still unknown about what happened.

Where is Apalachee High School? Barrow County, Georgia
The school is located on Haymon Morris Road just outside Winder city limits in Barrow County, Georgia.
This area is close to the surrounding community of Bethlehem, and more broadly it is east of Athens, Georgia, where the University of Georgia is located.
It is about an hour drive northeast of Midtown Atlanta.

What do we know about the shooting?
Full details are still limited. CNN reports four people were killed and approximately 30 more were injured. CNN cited "law enforcement sources" and reported it was not clear how many of those injuries were from gunshot wounds.
Law enforcement was called to the scene around 9:30 a.m. The Barrow County Sheriff's Office said one suspect is in custody.
CNN reports the suspect in custody is "of student age"" though it was not clear if that person attends Apalachee.
"At the time of this release, one suspect is in custody. Casualties have been reported, however details on the number or their conditions is not available at this time," a sheriff's office release stated. "This is an ongoing situation."
