WKYC Studios and 3News nominated for 35 Emmy Awards by the Central Great Lakes chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences

The nominations come in many important categories ranging from investigative, to societal concerns, digital content and original specials

WKYC Studios has been nominated for 35 Emmy® Awards by the Central Great Lakes chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) for 2022.

CLEVELAND — WKYC Studios has been nominated for 35 Emmy® Awards by the Central Great Lakes chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS).

In an exciting year where an in-person ceremony will return, the nominations come across many a wide range of categories covering investigations, societal concerns, digital content and original specials.

Among the many nominations announced via livestream on April 28, a few include the 5 pm newscast, "What's New," for Daytime Newscast, the 11 pm newscast, "What's Next," for Evening Newscast, three nominations in the Diversity/Equity/Inclusion category, and a nod for severe weather coverage.

Approximately one-third of WKYC Studios staff are nominated, truly representing the teamwork that makes impactful storytelling possible, with the team focus to share "what matters most" to the people of Northeast Ohio.

The ceremony is being sponsored by the Indianapolis Colts and will be held at the glamorous Lucas Estate in Carmel, Indiana on June 25.
