LYNDHURST, Ohio — One lucky Ohio resident is waking up a millionaire after Saturday night's Powerball drawing on Oct. 15, 2022.
Ohio Lottery officials say a $1 million Powerball lottery ticket was sold in Lyndhurst at the Corner Market.
The lucky winner matched 5/5 numbers correctly.
Even if you weren't the big winner, it is still a good idea to check your ticket. The Ohio Lottery says there were thousands of different winning tickets sold in the state with the varying prizes as listed below:
$1 million: 1 winner
$250,000: 1 winner
$500: 14 winners
$100: 42 winners
$35: 572 winners
$20: 7,231 winners
$7: 1,644 winners
$4: 19,770 winners
The winning numbers for Saturday night's drawing were 32, 37, 40, 58, 62 and Powerball 15. The Powerplay option was 5x.
The jackpot now grows to an estimated $480 million, which features a cash value of $242.2 million. The next Powerball lottery drawing will take place on Monday, Oct. 17.
Powerball lottery officials say the odds of hitting the jackpot are one in 292,201,338.00, which is slightly better than the Mega Millions odds of one in 302,575,350. The odds of hitting a $1 million winning ticket in Powerball, meanwhile, are one in 11,688,053.52.
