Check your tickets! Somebody is waking up as a new millionaire today after winning big money in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing.
The $1 million winning auto-pick ticket was sold in Lorain County at the Middle Ridge Service Plaza along the Ohio Turnpike in Amherst. The winning numbers in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing were 3, 5, 56, 61 and 66. The Mega Ball was 4.
The ticket sold in Amherst is among four $1 million winners from Tuesday’s drawing. Each of those winners matched five numbers, only missing out on the top $475 million jackpot because they didn’t match the Mega Ball. Two of the other $1 million winners are in California and the other is in Delaware.
Now the jackpot climbs to $515 million for its next drawing, which takes place this Friday at 11 p.m. The odds of hitting that jackpot are one in 302,575,350, according to Mega Millions officials. Your chances of hitting a $1 million prize are a bit better at one in 12,607,306.
Feeling lucky? Here’s a look at the winning numbers from the last few Mega Millions drawings:
