MASSILLON, Ohio — One lucky lottery player just hit a prize worth $1 million on a scratch-off ticket in Massillon.

The winning ticket, which was in the Ohio Lottery’s Billion game, was sold at the Speedway location at 3601 Lincoln Way East.

“The winner chose the cash option of $500,000,” according to the Ohio Lottery. “After mandatory federal and state tax totaling 28 percent, the winner will take home approximately $360,000.”

Billion is a $50 scratch-off ticket, which features a top prize of $1 million a year for 20 years. As of Oct. 24, there are three top prizes remaining in the game.

The Ohio Lottery says the overall odds of winning a prize in the Billion game are 1 in 4.10.

  • $1 million a year for 20 years: 3 remaining

  • $50,000 a year for 20 years ($1 million): 51 prizes remaining
