CLEVELAND — Although nobody won the $134 million Powerball jackpot, there are many winners throughout Ohio who are taking home smaller prizes after the latest lottery drawing on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022.
The Ohio Lottery says there were 9,234 different winning tickets sold in the state with varying prizes as listed below…
- $200 prize: 15 winners
- $100 prize: 20 winners
- $14 prize: 409 winners
- $8 prize: 2,503 winners
- $7 prize: 714 winners
- $4 prize: 5,573 winners
The winning Powerball numbers were 7, 8, 19, 24, 28 with Powerball 1. The upcharge Power Play option was 2x.
The jackpot now grows to an estimated $148 million, which features a cash option worth $83.1 million. The next drawing will take place on Saturday, Sept. 3.
Powerball lottery officials say the odds of hitting the jackpot are one in 292,201,338.00, which is slightly better than the Mega Millions odds of one in 302,575,350. The odds of hitting a $1 million winning ticket in Powerball, meanwhile, are one in 11,688,053.52.
