Search continues for missing man who never showed for Akron job assignment

Police are still searching for a Garfield Heights man who was reported missing after he failed to show for a job assignment Wednesday. 

Police say 33-year-old Desmond Beasley was on his way to a photography assignment at the I PROMISE School in Akron Wednesday, but never showed.

Friends and family of Beasley told police it was not like him to miss a work obligation, and that a friend received a concerning text message from him, but nothing else was said thereafter.

Police say Beasley's phone was disconnected at 2:04 p.m. on Wednesday and last pinged in the area of Streetsboro and Shalersville.

He drives a 2017 Kia Sportage with a possible a temp tag. The front license plate is a paper Spitzer dealer tag.
