DALLAS — Tyler Seguin is back in the lineup for the Dallas Stars.
The All-Star center missed 11 games after suffering a gruesome cut to his left Achilles tendon on March 17 against the Tampa Bay Lightning. He will return for Game 2 of the first-round playoff series with the Minnesota Wild. Dallas leads 1-0 after a 4-0 win Thursday.
Seguin had been skating all week at practice and said he felt ready to go. But Ruff told reporters Saturday after morning skate that it would be a game-time decision.
“I feel good, I feel like I am ready to play, but it is going to be a coach’s decision,” Seguin said Saturday. “I am prepared and ready.”
He began the game as the right wing on a line with Jamie Benn (left wing) and Cody Eakin (center).
Seguin finished second on the NHL's highest-scoring offense with 33 goals and 73 points during the regular season. The Stars went 9-2-0 in his absence.
Mattias Janmark is a healthy scratch.
