Parma native and actor Alan Ruck crashes truck into Los Angeles pizza shop

Surveillance video obtained by a local news outlet shows the truck hitting two vehicles before careening into a Hollywood pizzeria.

LOS ANGELES — Film and TV star Alan Ruck reportedly smashed his truck into two cars and a pizza shop in Hollywood Tuesday night, according to multiple media reports and surveillance video of the crash.

Ruck is most famous for his roles in "Succession" and "Ferris Bueller’s Day Off."

According to video obtained by KTLA, a local TV station in Los Angeles, Ruck's electric Rivian pickup-truck rear-ended a car stopped at a traffic light before hitting another car. The truck is then seen on the video careening into Ruffallo's Pizza shop.

The truck came to rest with its hood mostly inside the structure, with several bricks fallen on top of it.

KTLA reported that one of the people involved in the crash, a 32-year-old man, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The building reportedly suffered structural damage from the collision.

Ruck was not injured in the crash, according to reports from local outlets.

One witness told KTLA that Ruck was more concerned about the well-being of the others involved in the crash than his own.

“I asked him, ‘Are you okay?’ And the first thing out of his mouth was, ‘Is everyone [else] okay? I think I hit someone. Is he okay?'” the witness said.

It's unclear what caused Ruck to lose control of the car, and the actor told the witness he wasn't sure why he crashed either.

A Los Angeles City Fire Department report matching the crash's description was released after the incident, although Ruck is not named in the document.

The report notes that the crash caused structural damage to the building, and that city crews would need to determine if it was safe before it could be reopened.

"LA Dept. of Building and Safety is responding and will make the determination on the condition of the building for occupancy," the report reads.

It's unknown if any charges were filed or arrests made in connection with the crash. It's also unclear if police performed a field sobriety test on Ruck when they arrived at the scene.
