Days ahead of the 2020 General Election, former United States President Barack Obama will appear alongside LeBron James and the NBA superstar's friend and business partner, Maverick Carter during an episode of HBO's "The Shop."

According to Obama, the episode was taped this past weekend and will air at 9 p.m. ET on Friday -- four days ahead of the 2020 Presidential Election between President Donald J. Trump and Obama's former Vice President, Democratic nominee Joe Biden.
"In Miami this weekend, I dropped by The Shop to talk with @KingJames and @MavCarter about the NBA bubble, the racial justice movement, and what's at stake over these next seven days," Obama posted in a tweet on Tuesday. "Do not give up your power. Make a plan to vote: http://morethanavote.org/gameplan"
Both Obama and James have been active in the weeks leading up to next Tuesday's election, with Obama actively campaigning for Biden and James heading up the More Than A Vote campaign. Launched in June in the aftermath of the civil unrest that followed the death of George Floyd while in police custody in Minnesota, More Than A Vote now consists of several prominent athletes and celebrities, who have used their platforms and power to help protect African American voting rights.
"We are Black athletes and artists working together," the More Than A Vote website reads. "Our priority right now is combating systemic, racist voter suppression by educating, energizing, and protecting our community in 2020. Please read our letter asking fans to join us in the fight against Black voter suppression.
