The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections has opened a new collection site just across the street from their headquarters. The site at Campus International School will have teams of bipartisan elections workers take ballots as voters drive through the specially designed route.
Those using the Campus International School drop-off location must enter through the school's parking lot on East 30th Street. Stay to the right and drive up to the collection site to meet the team members and drop off your ballot. Voters will exit by making a right turn onto Chester Street.
The auxiliary drop-off location will be open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the weeks of October 13-16 and October 19-23. It will be open on Saturday, October 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The location will then be open from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from October 26-30.
Last week, a federal judge in Cleveland temporarily blocked an order by Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose that limits the number of ballot drop boxes available in next month’s election, calling the move “essential to vindicate a vital constitutional right.”
U.S. District Judge Dan Polster’s decision marked the second time in recent weeks that a court has ruled against LaRose’s directive restricting ballot drop boxes to a single location in each county in the presidential battleground state.
