CLEVELAND — Who will be the next President of the United States? While the final decision won't come until November when President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are expected to face off in a rematch at the ballot box, voters throughout Ohio are heading to the polls for the state's primary election on Tuesday, March 19, to choose their candidates for the 2024 presidential race.
So what can you expect when casting your vote in the March 19 primary election?
DEMOCRATIC RACE
Although President Biden is the obvious frontrunner, voters will find he's up against Democratic challenger Dean Phillips on the ballot.
REPUBLICAN RACE
On the Republican side, former President Trump is the only major candidate left in the contest since Nikki Haley dropped out of the race after Super Tuesday.
But voters will see her name on the ballot alongside other Republican challengers like Chris Christie, Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy -- all of whom have suspended their 2024 presidential campaigns.
