As expected, the reaction to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's decision to open an impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump has been swift and pointed.
Pelosi accused Trump on Tuesday of "seriously violat[ing] the Constitution," and now beings the months-long process that could result in the forced removal of a president from office (something that has never happened in the history of the United States). Trump himself was one of the first to rip the move, calling it a "Witch Hunt" and "HARRASSMENT" in a firestorm of tweets.
Meanwhile, Democrats like Ohio U.S. Rep. and Democratic presidential candidate Tim Ryan are applauding the decision. Ryan himself called Trump "a mobster."

More presidential candidates sounded off as well, including current front runner and former Vice President Joe Biden. However, not all explicitly called for Trump to be impeached.
On MSNBC this afternoon, Meet the Press' Chuck Todd also had a headed exchange with Republican U.S. Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana. Namely, Todd accused Kennedy of trying to "gaslight."
