CLEVELAND — On the day that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were sworn in as the nation's next president and vice president, we thought it was a good time to reunite our 3News Zoom panel of voters to talk about Inauguration Day and much more.
Back in September, we assembled seven Northeast Ohio voters, four supporting Joe Biden and three for Donald Trump, to watch the first presidential debate in Cleveland with us. Over the course of the next few months, we brought many of those panelists back for reaction after some of the other debates and on Election Night.
Laura Caso joined me to help moderate the Inauguration Day panel that featured Biden supporters Sheri Nacson, Michael Carr, Jennifer Lumpkin, and Henry Guzman, plus Trump supporter Zahi Abi Younes.
Among the topics we discussed with the panel:
- What were some of the biggest highlights that our panel took away from the Inauguration Day festivities?
- Can we be as unified on January 21, 2021 as we are on January 20, 2021?
- Also, in the aftermath of the riot at the U.S. Capitol earlier this month, do you truly feel hopeful about the direction of our nation?
- Can we disagree without being disagreeable?
