To find a perfect little adventure, kids in Northeast Ohio don't have to look any further than their own backyard.
For my little 1-year-old daughter, Scarlett, her perfect day starts with a trip to the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center.
First, we say hi to our friends, the turtles, check in on the fish and reptiles before moving on for "Frogs and Polliwogs." It's a class where little tots can explore by petting some of the animals, like a snake or a ferret, and singing songs about nature.

Down the hall, we took a journey in the planetarium from the Earth to the stars to the moon.
Of course on a perfect weather day, we would find a nice swing by the lake. But in the winter, we found the perfect place to jump indoors. From jumping on trampolines to jumping into foam cubes, young kids rule Sky Zone during "toddler time." The nursery rhymes and kids songs blast while youngsters under the age of 6 use beach balls and hula hoops. These little legs get a workout -- and the giggles are endless.
And if that's not enough to tucker out your little love, a perfect day would end with a cherry on top. That means a trip to Mitchell's Ice Cream for a strawberry ice cream cone with sprinkles on top.
