STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — Strongsville Middle School Principal Steve Deitrick took to Facebook Monday afternoon to address threats made against the school. The threats, made by a SMS student, were found not to be credible.
However, Deitrick says the administration is working with police to further investigate the matter. The student responsible for the threats has been disciplined in line with the school's code of conduct.
"We want all students to have a sense of security when they step foot in this building" said Steve Deitrick, principal at Strongsville Middle School.
An increased police presence will be present at the middle school Tuesday, to ease the apprehensions of SMS families.
"The safety of our students and staff is top priority here at Strongsville Middle School," Deitrick added.
