CLEVELAND -- Some of the nation's most impressive athletes are expected to take over Edgewater Park this weekend for the USA Triathlon Nationals.
More than 5,000 athletes and 10,000 spectators are expected to be in town. That means some streets will be closed for the event, which runs all weekend.
The swim portion of the event is scheduled to take place at Edgewater Beach, though a recent sewage overflow into Lake Erie sparked a swimming advisory Tuesday. Officials say the water quality will be tested again Wednesday.
The biking and running portions of the event will take place in Cleveland's Detroit-Shoreway, Downtown, St. Clair-Superior and University Circle neighborhoods.
