CLEVELAND — What is Trevor Bauer like off the baseball field?
We sat down with the Cleveland Indians pitcher to discuss all sorts of random topics about his personal life.
Question: What is your perfect off day with nothing related to baseball?
Bauer: I’m probably traveling somewhere, probably out of the country somewhere. I’d spend about five or six hours doing business stuff, then out exploring and taking pictures, flying my drone around in cool spots.
Question: What is your favorite place to visit?
Bauer: I like a lot of different places for different reasons. I was in Japan in 2009 on a baseball trip. I love the culture. Iceland was awesome. It’s hard to say. I don’t have like one spot where I would just go back there repeatedly and be happy only going there. I like to see a wide sampling of what the world has to offer.
Question: If you could rule the world for one day, what is the one change you would make?
Bauer: I probably wouldn’t rule it. I would remove myself from office. That would be my change. I’m probably not fit to rule the world [laughs.]
Question: If you could have one wish granted by a genie, what would it be?
Bauer: I don’t even know. Nothing. I like my life. I’m not really into materialistic things. I feel like that’s what genies get you. My parents, my family are healthy. I’m healthy, happy. I can take care of my friends. I pretty much have everything that I want.
