SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — I don't know how it is with you, but I find this time of the year especially spectacular.
I am moved by it especially in this part of the world, when Mother Nature is onstage sporting a dazzling wardrobe fit for showtime. From the marquee through a gilded lobby to the theater seats and onto the stage, autumn is stunning.
As if in a film, the season is widescreen Technicolor, enough to mesmerize me. If ever there was a theater worthy of attendance, walk the red carpet to just about anywhere in the Cleveland Metroparks system. Now that is entertainment.
Autumn is my favorite time of the year. Its first few weeks mark a much-anticipated season opener. The reviews are always good, not only pf Mother Nature's colorful stage wardrobe, but also the dialogue which keeps the story crisp and moving.
Many have stood in line for this performance. Ask anyone, "How'd you like the show?" There have been raves about it.
An autumn performance where there is real-life drama unfolding with a backdrop that can take your breath away. The natural reds, browns, and gold simply "pop," even if you've got the last seat in the back row of the balcony. Fact is, there's not a bad seat in the house for this show-stopping event. Autumn's performance is hailed as among the season's best starring actors in a setting so intimate, you can reach out and touch them.
For me, give me a seat on the aisle right down front, but there are more good seats for this golden performance. Call this my critic's column.
Is it good? Count on it. My first words are "Bravo! Bravo!"
Autumn's colorful show is held over for a while longer. You're encouraged to catch a performance; I guarantee it’s worth the price of admission, which by the way is quite affordable. You'll be so moved, I predict a standing ovation with thunderous applause for the stage, followed by shouts of "Encore! Encore!"
