The nonpartisan drive, which will be held in conjunction with Cleveland VOTES and the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, will be open to all who are eligible to vote in the upcoming General Election on Tuesday, Nov. 2, regardless of where they live in the United States. The event will run from 5-7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 28 and take place in the atrium of Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
No ticket will be required for the free event and health and safety protocols regarding COVID-19 will be in place. More information regarding the event can be found at https://www.rocketmortgagefieldhouse.com/guest-experience/covid-policy or at CL3alliance.com.
Last August, the Indians, Browns and Cavs announced an alliance between the three franchises aimed at developing "a sustainable and direct strategy to address social injustice facing the city of Cleveland and all Northeast Ohio communities." The alliance's areas of focus include voting, law enforcement and education, with the teams and players using their platforms to call for action and positive outcomes.
“The alliance will also focus on improving the relationship between law enforcement and its citizens, encouraging nonpartisan voting activities and increasing the opportunities for quality education for everyone,” officials said in a press release.
