CANTON, Ohio — The Pro Football Hall of Fame has announced that they will host the 2023 Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic in Canton.
The contest between Morehouse College and Virginia Union University will take place on Sunday, Sept. 3, at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
The news was announced Thursday morning by the founders of the Black College Football Hall of Fame, James "Shack" Harris and Doug William, at the Greater Canton Martin Luther King Jr. Commission's 30th annual Mayor's Breakfast.
“Now in its fourth year, the Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic quickly is growing into a premier showcase for the excellence of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Northeast Ohio is thrilled to host the administration and staff, students and alumni of these two great institutions,” said Adrian Allison, Chief Relationship Officer at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
The game's halftime show will feature the Morehouse House of Funk and VUU Ambassadors of Sound.
Tickets for the game, which start at $25, can be purchased at https://www.profootballhof.com/tickets.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame is expected to announce other events in the future that will take place during the Blak College Football Hall of Fame Classic weekend.
