Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields has the attention of just about everyone in the country and now you can add oddsmakers to that list. On Monday, DraftKings Sportsbook listed the Buckeyes quarterback with the second-best odds to win the 2020 Heisman Trophy Award.
With Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence out due to COVID-19, Fields is now listed among the odds-on favorites to win the Heisman.
Alabama quarterback Mac Jones currently has the best odds to win the Heisman at +125 ($100 bet wins $125), while Fields sits at +150 odds.
With Lawrence out this past weekend against Boston College and this upcoming Saturday against Notre Dame, the Clemson quarterback had his odds drop to +400.
Florida quarterback Kyle Trask is next on the Heisman hopefuls list at +1200.
There is currently no set date as to when the Heisman Trophy will be announced this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ohio State is currently ranked No. 3 in the country behind Clemson and Alabama and sits at 2-0 on the season picking up wins against Nebraska and Penn State. The Buckeyes host Rutgers this upcoming Saturday.
