CLEVELAND — “You Said It" is a reader participation column based on the premise that if you don't laugh about Cleveland sports you'll cry.
And that if you do laugh about Cleveland sports, you might still end up crying. But at least friends and family might occasionally like being around you.
YOU SAID IT
Bud: Do you think the Browns will keep Freddie for next year or do you believe that we need a coach who is more punctilious? (BTW, ever utilize Word of the Day app?) — Devin, Concord.
If that means “allergic to the shovel pass” you can only hope.
Bud: Don't you think the Cleveland Browns are bonding with You Said It contributors because they can't score either? — Michael Sarro.
One of them is still trying hard to end the year on a positive note. The other got blown out by Arizona.
Are you asking for a friend? And is that friend, by any chance, Jabrill Peppers?
Bud: I hate to resort to a cliche, but the Cardinals offense vs. the Browns looked precisely like a knife going through butter. — Alan in Canton.
At the end of the day, moving forward, it is what it is.
Bud: Do you think Patrick Reed still considers himself one of the five best players in the world? How about the Australian people? — TR in Stark County.
Reed alienating more people at the Presidents Cup was just a reminder of his nickname on the PGA Tour: “Table For One.”
Bud: Any chance Coach Beilein could get the same game time energy and footwork out of his players as exuded by their pregame ‘You Can’t Touch This’ video? — Jim Corrigan, Fairview Park.
Maybe. But it’s the NBA, so he’d have to ask real nice.

Bud: Is Beckham's sports hernia right between his numbers? Just asking. — CJ, Avon Lake.
It’s fair to say this has been the season of the occasional Beckham drop. Even more fair to say it’s been the season of the occasional Beckham catch.
Bud: If the Indians trade Lindor, Kluber & Clevinger, will Cleveland go on the list of minor league teams to be chopped by MLB? — O. Bill Stone.
You Said It “winners” make the cut, but just barely.
