NICK'S TAKE: Nick Camino says the Cleveland Browns' franchise QB 'is not on this roster right now'

Previewing April's NFL draft, Nick says, 'I think it's time you start familiarizing yourself with the top quarterbacks in college football.'

CLEVELAND — Welp, it's beyond bad now.

The Browns lose again, this time to the Cincinnati Bengals 21-14 in a game that really never felt that close. Cleveland falls to 1-6 on the season with the loss, and Deshaun Watson's season is likely over with, as he went down with an Achilles injury just before halftime.

Special teams continue to be a mess, the offense is nonexistent, the defense is celebrating plays when they're down 15 points in the fourth quarter.

I know fans cheered when Watson went down with an injury, which I actually thought was a bad look. It brought back memories — I remember when Browns fans did that to Tim Couch years ago.

And I find it a little ironic that Watson goes down and fans are clamoring to see Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Was he really that much better? I know he's young and everything, but was he that much better?

I think it's time you start familiarizing yourself with the top quarterbacks in college football, because the future franchise quarterback is not on this roster right now. He is not here.

Meanwhile, has Watson played his final game in a Browns uniform? I started thinking about that, and when you think about it, it's probably best for both Watson, the Browns, and fans if that's the case.

A 1-6 start — one and six, a team that brought back a majority of its roster from a squad that went to the NFL playoffs last season. It's shameful, it's embarrassing, and I'm starting to grow concerned, because it doesn't even feel like fans are all that upset anymore.

You start to wonder: Has apathy set in? The worst thing that you can get from a fan base is apathy, literally not caring anymore. Numb to the losing, numb to the shameful showing every Sunday from this team.

I fell for Browns fans, I really do. They've poured their hearts into this team since 1999, and they haven't gotten much back in return.

1-15 and 0-16, that was rock bottom for this organization. But right now, this doesn't feel all that much different, especially when you consider that the expectations were pretty high for this bunch.

Another sad Sunday for the Browns, and another sad Sunday that this team is just about finished.
