CLEVELAND — Ouch... just bad — the day, the game, the weekend, everything.
I thought the Browns had a chance to save our football weekend, but that was not the case today in Denver.
The Browns lose to the Broncos 29-12, just one day after Ohio State drops its third straight to Michigan. Talk about a bad weekend for us here in Northeast Ohio.
As for today's browns game? Just ugly, and I've come to the realization that no Browns game the rest of this season will come easy. Deshaun Watson is done for the season, Dorian Thompson-Robinson left today's game with a concussion, and yes, we saw P.J. walker again. We know how that goes by this point.
So I guess this means it's time for 38-year-old Joe Flacco? Yeah, you get my point — nothing will be easy the rest of the way for the Cleveland Browns.
They are now 7-4 on the season, and while record-wise, yes, they're in the playoff mix, you begin to wonder about all that with this quarterback situation being what it is. No matter how well this Browns defense plays (and let me tell you, they weren't all that great today), this team has some serious question marks going forward.
I mean, there's not much to dissect about today — out-played, out-coached, out-everything'd, and that's why they lost 29-12 and that's why it feels like there's so much uncertainty surrounding this football team.
7-4 is great, but is it a little bit of fool's gold? How long can this team stay in the postseason mix with this being their quarterback situation?
Nobody said it would be easy for this Browns team once Watson went down with a season-ending injury, and today, in a 29-12 loss to the Broncos, that couldn't have been more evident.
The Rams are up next, and yep, you guessed it, that will not be easy.
