'They quit': Nick Camino eviscerates Cleveland Browns following blowout loss to Washington Commanders

'What did that look like? Did that look like a Browns team giving effort? Did that look appear to be a hungry football team, a team that even wants to win?'

CLEVELAND — It's getting bad now.

Like, really bad. Like, jobs on the line, emergency situation-type bad.

In fact, it could already be over for the Cleveland Browns.

Am I overreacting to a 1-4 start? I don't think so. I mean, is there mathematically time to turn things around? Sure, I guess, but after watching today's 34-13 blowout loss to the Washington Commanders, how could we possibly think that this team will turn things around to be anywhere near the team many thought they would be, a team that went to the playoffs last season, that took the NFL by storm, and was looking to go on a deep playoff run this season into January?

It's professional sports, OK? I get really hesitant saying that a team quit, but what did that look to you today?

What did that look like? Did that look like a Browns team giving effort? Did that look appear to be a hungry football team, a team that even wants to win? There's effort issues, there's "wanting to win" issues.

I'm not sure this team "wants it." You always talk about a team that's hungry. They're not hungry; they're full!

This was supposed to be the "winnable" stretch for the Browns, remember? The New York Giants, the Las Vegas Raiders, the Washington Commanders — this was their opportunity to stack up some wins before the schedule gets much tougher.

Well, in that "winnable" stretch that we talked about, the Browns went 0-3. They are 1-4, they have serious offensive issues, the quarterback situation is what it is (I think we've given up on that), the defense scares nobody, the coaching right now is head-scratching top to bottom — it's embarrassing. It's embarrassing, and today, it looked like they quit.

They quit, and that's hard to swallow for Browns fans. I mean, what can you really do at this point? Do you bench Watson? Do you fire some assistant coach we've never heard of? Is that going to fix everything?

How can you possibly just keep trotting out this same product and expecting a different result? Isn't that the definition of insanity?

The only insane thing right now is all of us sitting down every Sunday and wasting our time watching this team every week. We deserve better; Browns fans, you deserve better.
