Ohio State Marching Band celebrates Dr. Seuss with 'Oh, the Places You'll Go'

Seuss's "Oh, the Places You'll Go" was his last book to be published during his lifetime.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State University Marching Band took Buckeye fans on a trip through the world of Dr. Seuss in their halftime performance on Saturday.

TBDBITL used Dr. Seuss's "Oh, the Places You'll Go" as the inspiration for the show. This was his last book to be published during his lifetime.

The band's formations in the show came from illustrations in the book.

"From navigating the 'waiting places' to soaring to great heights, we showcase that while the path may be uncertain, the potential for growth and adventure is limitless," the university said.

Music in this week's halftime show:

  • Overture Carnival
  • Danzon No. 2
  • Infernal Dance from The Firebird
  • Nimrod from Enigma Variations
  • Finale from Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5
