Former Cleveland Browns general manager Dwight Clark has passed away after a short battle with ALS. Clark’s wife, Kelly, made the sad announcement on Clark’s social media feeds.
Clark served as Cleveland’s general manager from 1998 to 2002, the team’s reincarnation era. He is more well-known for his time as a San Francisco 49ers wide receiver and the man on the receiving end of “The Catch” from Joe Montana.
He was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, in March of 2017.
Clark was 61 years old.
Rest in peace, Dwight Clark.
