WESTLAKE, Ohio — It's been quite a while since North Olmsted has looked this good.
Tim Brediger's Eagles extended their winning streak to four Friday night with a resounding 42-8 victory over Westlake in the WKYC High School Football Game of the Week. They also improved to 4-2 on the season, including 2-0 in the Great Lakes Conference's West Division.
Running back Jared Kelley led the way with three rushing touchdowns, and senior quarterback Xavier Balson found Collin Willard twice in the end zone. North Olmsted also intercepted Westlake QB Sam Brucchieri twice.
The Eagles raced out to a 28-0 halftime lead and eventually made it 42-0 before Cooper Rummel took a kickoff to the house with about two minutes to play. The Demons fall to 3-3 and 0-2 in the GLC West.
North Olmsted will host Bay next Friday in another crucial conference showdown, while Bay will head to red-hot Elyria Catholic.
