CLEVELAND — High school football playoffs in Ohio will get underway this weekend as 448 teams across seven different divisions will be vying for a trip to Canton and a state championship.
After a 2020 postseason that saw only very limited spectators in attendance due to health concerns, fans across the state are expected to once again pack stadiums under the Friday (and Saturday) night lights.
The Ohio High School Athletic Association says postseason tournament tickets (in all sports) must be purchased online. This year, the OHSAA has partnered with HomeTown Ticketing for digital ticketing for all postseason events. Fans can safely and securely buy their tickets online, from the first round of the football playoffs to the state championship games in Canton, December 2-4.
Tickets for Ohio high school football playoff games can be purchased by going to the OHSAA website or with the tap of a button on a mobile device on Hometown’s new Fan App, available in the Apple store or Google Play.
“Playoffs are great time for high school football teams, and we are excited to partner with the OHSAA to bring convenience to fans across the state. We want to make it as easy as possible to get into the game without hassle every time,” said Ryan Hart, HomeTown Ticketing Chairman and CEO.
Hometown is the official ticketing provider for all OHSAA sports tournaments including basketball, baseball, bowling, football, ice hockey, soccer, tennis, volleyball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, softball, wrestling, field hockey, gymnastics, swim/dive, and track & field.
“We are very pleased to be working with HomeTown Ticketing for all OHSAA postseason tournament tickets in football and all our sports,” said Doug Ute, OHSAA Executive Director. “With the large crowds that attend football playoff games, it is important to have an efficient system that allows for easy scanning and entry into the games. HomeTown Ticketing allows us to do that for each and every game of the postseason. They have been a great partner and we look forward to working with them for a long time.”
