CLEVELAND — The votes are in, and with the support of nearly 60% of respondents, Olmsted Falls vs. Chardon will be the first WKYC High School Football Game of the Week for the 2022 season.
It's a matchup of two of the best mid-division programs in Northeast Ohio. Olmsted Falls is coming off a 10-3 campaign and will look to Rutgers commit Dominic Rivera to lead a talented offensive line, while Leo Colombi bolsters a stifling Chardon defense that has won 28 games and two D-III state championships in a row.
This year, 3News will be presenting our Game of the Week during "What's Next" every Friday night, and you have the chance to pick where we travel. We'll announce our four nominees during "Sports Tonight" on Sunday evening and open the voting until noon on Thursday. Our crew will then head to the winning game on Friday, with Nick Camino showcasing expanded highlights of all the action at 11:20 p.m.
Stay tuned Friday for full coverage from Chardon!
