CLEVELAND — On Monday, schools across the area and throughout the state of Ohio shined a light on the class of 2020, despite the fact that those students will not be coming back to the classrooms this academic year.
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced that the state's K-12 schools will remain closed through the remainder of the current school year. Ohio's schools have been closed since March 16 due to concerns regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19).
As part of the 'Be The Light Ohio' movement, schools lit up their stadiums for 20 minutes and 20 seconds starting at 8:20 on Monday evening.
We checked out Northeast Ohio to get a glimpse of what it was like to have the lights back on! Check it out:
Let's start with our Pat Chiesa, who visited three stadiums on the west side.
Stadiums weren't the only lights that were turned on for the Class of 2020.
Even colleges got into the act!
