COLUMBUS, Ohio — Twenty-four Ohio State Buckeyes are taking their talents to the Paris Olympics.
The group is made up of current, former and incoming Ohio State athletes who represent 10 countries and nine sports at this year's games.
For the second consecutive summer Olympics, Ohio State will have more than 20 student-athletes competing.
The group of 24 Buckeyes is the second-most Ohio State Olympians at a single Olympic Games following the school record of 26 competing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The Canadian Olympic Team has the most Ohio State representatives with eight. Team USA is close behind with seven Buckeyes.
The 2024 Olympic Games will be held July 26-Aug. 11 in Paris. During the 17-day window, 10,500 of the world’s best athletes will compete across 32 sports. This year’s Olympics mark the 100th anniversary of the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris.
