CLEVELAND — It was a big moment for our own Austin Love as he threw the ceremonial first pitch at Tuesday night's Cleveland Guardians game against the Minnesota Twins at Progressive Field.
So how did he actually do? You can watch the first pitch in the video at the top of this story.
What about his nerves?
“I was good up until I stepped onto the mound," he explained Wednesday morning on GO!
As for the pitch itself...
“It was heading straight toward my camera, so shout out to the catcher for making a nice, little grab on that one," Austin laughed.
Once it was over, Austin said he got "the old man remedy" of an ice pack, hot dog and a Miller Lite or two.
But that's not all... The entire evening was something he was able to share with his father -- which included a surprise appearance on WTAM 1100 with Mark "Munch" Bishop.
“I couldn’t be more grateful for the Guardians to do that," Austin summarized. "It was so much fun being able to experience that with my dad as well.”
