CLEVELAND — During Saturday's game between the Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays, fans continued to show their love and support for legendary drummer John Adams.
A sign with messages from fans was hung at Progressive Field during the American League Wild Card Game 2 that read, "Keep Rockin' John!"
The Cleveland Guardians posted the sign on Twitter saying, "Cleveland fans are the greatest fans. Miss you, @TribeDrummer."
Despite Adams not being able to attend one of the playoff games at Progressive Field this weekend, Adams made a special appearance on Friday with his iconic rally drum to kick off the series.
In a video on the jumbotron, Adams shouted, "Play Ball!" with mascot Slider by his side.
The Cleveland baseball icon has not attended a baseball game since 2019 due to health issues. Earlier this year, Adams sat down with 3News' Nick Camino for an exclusive interview, discussing some of the setbacks he has been facing.
