Cleveland Guardians change time of ALDS Game 5 against Detroit Tigers to 1:08 p.m. due to 'impending weather'

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Guardians have announced a time change for Saturday’s American League Division Series (ALDS) Game 5 against the Detroit Tigers. 

The team announced that Saturday’s winner-take-all game at Progressive Field will now start at 1:08 p.m. 

The change comes due to "impending weather." The Cleveland Guardians' MLB Postseason game was initially scheduled for 8:08 p.m. 

Gates for Progressive Field will now open at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. 

The winner of Saturday’s Game 5 will advance to the American League Championship Series and will take on the New York Yankees. The ALCS series is scheduled to begin in New York on Monday, Oct. 14 at 7:37 p.m.
