CLEVELAND — In recent weeks, an online baseball puzzle game called Immaculate Grid has gone viral among sports fans on Twitter.
And Cleveland Guardians fans likely had an easier time with Tuesday's puzzle than previous prompts, with the Guardians being one of five teams featured in the daily online game.
Not familiar with Immaculate Grid? Here's how it works:
Each day, the Immaculate Grid website releases a new puzzle, with three categories -- typically a team or accomplishment -- listed horizontally and three categories listed vertically to form a nine-space grid. In each space, users are required to enter an MLB player (active or former) who has played for both teams in the corresponding vertical and horizontal categories (or who accomplished the feat listed if that's one of the categories). Only nine total guesses for each daily puzzle are permitted.
Here's Tuesday's grid:
As such, three of the answers in Tuesday's puzzle are Cleveland-related, with users needing to come up with players who played for both the Guardians and Kansas City Royals, Guardians and Seattle Mariners and Guardians and Texas Rangers (players who played for the Indians also count). It's also worth noting that users get more credit for selecting less popularly used answers, although that isn't ultimately factored into the final score, which is simply how many correct answers out of nine a user gets.
