CLEVELAND — When the Cleveland Guardians take the field for Game 2 of the American League Wild Card Series against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday, they'll do so in front of a sold-out crowd.
On Thursday, the Guardians announced that Game 2 of this weekend's best-of-three series at Progressive Field has officially sold out. The team, however, has now made a limited number of $35 standing room tickets available, which can be purchased at CLEGuardians.com/postseason.
In a release, the Guardians noted that a limited number of tickets remain available for Game 1 on Friday and Game 3 (if necessary) on Sunday. Postseason tickets are only available online and will be delivered in digital form, with purchasers limited to six tickets per game.
Should Cleveland prove victorious in its Wild Card Series vs. the Rays, the Guardians would advance to the best-of-five American League Division Series against the New York Yankees. Tickets for that potential series are already available, with all Guardians postseason options listed at CLEGuardians.com/postseason.
While all single-game purchases must be paid in full at the time of purchase, single-game purchasers will be automatically refunded the full ticket price for any unplayed games. Those refunds will include per ticket convenience fees, while processing fees per order are non-refundable.
On Wednesday, Major League Baseball announced that Games 1 and 2 of the Wild Card Series between the Guardians and Rays will both start at 12:07 p.m., while Game 3 (if necessary) is tentatively set for Sunday at 4:07 p.m. Fans are also encouraged to "Rock Your Red" gear in support of the team.
