What are the Cleveland Guardians' odds of signing Aaron Judge?

DraftKings has set odds for all 30 MLB teams' chances of landing free agent outfielder Aaron Judge.

CLEVELAND — With the 2022 World Series in the books, all eyes in baseball now shift toward Aaron Judge's impending free agency.

And while the Cleveland Guardians aren't considered strong contenders to land the New York Yankees outfielder, you can now wager on them doing so.

On Tuesday, DraftKings released betting odds for all 30 MLB teams' chances of signing Judge in the upcoming offseason. At 100-1, the Guardians are tied with 17 other teams with the worst odds of signing Judge, who hit an American League record 62 home runs this past season.

To quote Lloyd Christmas: so you're telling me there's a chance.

Granted, that chance includes an implied probability of less than one percent. Laying claim to the third-lowest payroll in all of baseball, according to Spotrac, this past season, it's not surprising that Cleveland is considered unlikely to sign the 30-year-old Judge, who will likely command one of the largest -- if not the largest -- contracts in baseball history in the weeks ahead following his MVP-caliber 2022 campaign.

As for which teams have the best odds of landing Judge, DraftKings' odds are as follows:

  • New York Yankees -165
  • San Francisco Giants +300
  • Los Angeles Dodgers +450
  • New York Mets +1000
  • Boston Red Sox +1600
  • Chicago Cubs +2200
  • St. Louis Cardinals +2800
  • Los Angeles Angels +2800
  • Texas Rangers +3000
  • Seattle Mariners +7000
