Rock Your Red: Cleveland Guardians announce fan festivities for ALDS series vs. Detroit Tigers at Progressive Field

The team has also announced a series of fan festivities for the ALDS at Progressive Field.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Guardians are in the 2024 MLB playoffs -- and their first battle of the postseason is against the Detroit Tigers in the American League Division Series.

To keep the excitement going, fans are encouraged to "Rock Your Red" for the entire postseason to show their support for the team by wearing red.

In details announced early Friday morning, the Cleveland Guardians said Gateway Plaza "will be activated for pregame festivities for all ALDS games." Highlights include:

  • Local bands
  • Slider and the hot dogs
  • Photo opportunities
  • Swag giveaways
  • DJ Kyro will perform in the Right Field District for an hour and a half after gates open

What follows are some of the plans for the ALDS games at Progressive Field:

GAME 1: SATURDAY, OCT. 5 AT 1:08 P.M.

  • Ceremonial First Pitch: Travis Fryman
  • Color Guard: Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Army, Marines and Space Force
  • National Anthem: DeAngelo Graham
  • Flyover: 910th Airlift Wing – Based at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station and flying the C130 Hercules
  • God Bless America: Jon Ridinger
  • Mid-1st inning: Stand For The Land Banner
  • Cleveland’s Nerdiest DJ will ramp up the excitement from the Home Run Bridge

GAME 2: MONDAY, OCT. 7 AT 4:08 P.M.

  • Ceremonial First Pitch: Josh Tomlin
  • Color Guard: Marines
  • National Anthem: Danielle Danburg
  • Play Ball: Donovan Mitchell
  • Cleveland’s Nerdiest DJ

GAME 5 (IF NECESSARY): SATURDAY, OCT. 12 (TIME TBD)

  • Ceremonial First Pitch: TBD
  • Color Guard: Navy
