CLEVELAND — Are you ready, Cleveland?!?!?!
After sweeping the Tampa Bay Rays in the Wild Card round, the Cleveland Guardians are preparing to battle the New York Yankees in the American League Division Series (ALDS).
Here’s the schedule for the Cleveland Guardians vs. New York Yankees, along with the known probable starting pitchers for the respective clubs:
- GAME 1 | Guardians at Yankees: Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 7:37 p.m.
- Cal Quantrill (15-5, 3.38 ERA in regular season) vs. Gerrit Cole (13-8, 3.50)
- GAME 2 | Guardians at Yankees UPDATE: Game postponed until 1:07 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14 due to inclement weather. It was originally scheduled for 7:37 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13.
- Shane Bieber (13-8, 2.88) vs. Nestor Cortes (12-4, 2.44)
- GAME 3 | Yankees at Guardians: Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7:37 p.m.
- Luis Severino (7-3, 3.18) vs. Triston McKenzie (11-11, 2.96)
- GAME 4 (if necessary) | Yankees at Guardians: Sunday, Oct. 16 at 7:07 p.m.
- GAME 5 (if necessary) | Guardians at Yankees: Monday, Oct. 17 at 7:37 p.m.
The winner will advance to the American League Championship Series (ALCS), which is just one step away from the World Series.
The Guardians landed their spot in the ALDS after winning Game 2 in the best-of-three Wild Card series at Progressive Field, which went scoreless until the 15th inning when Oscar Gonzalez blasted a homer.
