The Heavy Heavy to perform at Progressive Field following Cleveland Guardians' Aug. 5 matchup vs. White Sox

The show marks the second night of the Guardians' 2023 Rock ‘N’ Blast presented by FirstEnergy.

CLEVELAND — In what will mark the second night of the 2023 Rock ‘N’ Blast presented by FirstEnergy, UK band The Heavy Heavy will perform at Progressive Field following the Cleveland Guardians' matchup against the Chicago White Sox on Saturday, Aug. 5.

The performance comes one day before the Brighton based band makes its Cleveland debut with a concert at Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica, where they will open for The Revivalists alongside Band of Horses.

Led by Will Turner and Georgie Fuller, the five-member group recently completed their first U.S. cross-country tour and has made appearances on CBS Saturday Morning, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Having had two singles -- “Miles and Miles” and “Go Down River” -- reach Top 5 on the Adult Alternative AAA Radio Charts, the band's first full length album is expected to be released later this year.

An annual tradition at Progressive Field, this year's Rock 'N' Blast will take place on back to back nights on Aug. 4 and Aug. 5. This year's event includes a "Generations" musical theme, with those in attendance for the Aug. 5 contest against the White Sox also able to participate in the $2 Pregame in the District presented by Miller Lite (5:30-7:00pm). The first 12,500 fans in attendance will also receive a Weekender Bag courtesy of Sysco.

On June 24, Walk the Moon performed a full postgame concert at Progressive Field, which has also hosted performances by Tropidelic and Straight No Chaser during the 2023 season.
