Wednesday's Cleveland Guardians game vs. Los Angeles Dodgers suspended by rain, will be resumed Thursday at 12:10 p.m.

The game was halted after two innings amid strong thunderstorms. The two teams will play the remaining seven innings as well as another full game on Thursday.

CLEVELAND — The weather didn't cooperate with the Guardians on Wednesday, as severe thunderstorms led to the suspension of the team's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

With LA leading 3-1 after two innings, the grounds crew brought the tarp on the field following multiple lightning strikes within miles of Progressive Field. The rain came soon after, forcing officials to send everybody home just before 9:30 p.m.

The two teams are scheduled to pick things back up at 12:10 p.m. Thursday, and following the conclusion of that game will then play the series finale. Those who already had tickets to tomorrow's game will be able to attend both games, but those with seats to Wednesday's contest must exchange them first if they want to get inside the ballpark. There will also be 14 additional games available for possible exchange at CLEGuardians.com/mytickets.

According to 3News Chief Meteorologist Betsy Kling, the weather on Thursday is expected to be clear until around 6 p.m., so there appears to be a window for the Guardians and Dodgers to get both games in. As for Wednesday, a large portion of Northeast Ohio is under a flash flood warning.
