Cleveland Guardians announce 2025 regular season schedule; home opener set for April 8 against Chicago White Sox

The Cleveland Guardians will host the Chicago White Sox for their home opener at Progressive Field on Tuesday, April 8.

CLEVELAND — Although the MLB is currently wrapping up its All-Star break for the 2024 season, Guardians fans now know when they will be able to watch baseball in 2025. 

On Thursday, the MLB announced the entirety of its 2025 regular-season schedule, including the Cleveland Guardians' full 162-game slate. 

Due to the renovations taking place at Progressive Field, the Guardians will open the 2025 season with a nine-game road trip.

The Guards will kick off their 2025 campaign in Kansas City, taking on the Royals in a three-game set. The team will then travel west to take on the San Diego Padres in a three-game series (March 31-April 2) before finishing out the road trip against the Los Angeles Angels in a three-game set (April 4-6). 

On April 8, the Cleveland Guardians will host the Chicago White Sox in what will mark the team's 2025 home opener at Progressive Field. The Guardians will host the White Sox in a three-game set April 8-10, following a three-game series against the Kansas City Royals to close out the homestand. 

During the season, the Guardians will host eight interleague opponents, including the Philadelphia Phillies (May 9-11), Milwaukee Brewers (May 12-14), Los Angeles Dodgers (May 26-28), Cincinnati Reds (June 9-11), St. Louis Cardinals (June 27-29), Colorado Rockies (July 28-30), Miami Marlins (August 12-14) and Atlanta Braves (August 15-17).
