CLEVELAND — What a cool moment.
Ahead of their 2024 season opener at Progressive Field, the Cleveland Guardians took in the total solar eclipse.
Players, including Steven Kwan and Jose Ramirez, were out on the field with their solar eclipse glasses on, taking in the once-in-a-lifetime moment.
The first pitch for the Guardians home opener against the Chicago White Sox was moved to 5:10 p.m. due to the solar eclipse.
Cleveland witnessed totality between 3:13 and 3:17 p.m. on April 8.
Take a look at the moments during the solar eclipse below from Progressive Field:

We have to wait until 2099 before the another solar eclipse cuts through Ohio -- but Cleveland, Akron and other northeast communities will narrowly miss totality.
- Maximum eclipse: 3:15:40 p.m.
- Totality ends: 3:17:35 p.m.
