HOUSTON, TX - OCTOBER 06: Trevor Bauer #47 of the Cleveland Indians delivers a pitch in the sixth inning against the Houston Astros during Game Two of the American League Division Series at Minute Maid Park on October 6, 2018 in Houston, Texas.

Trevor Bauer has always been a giver. After all, upon being rewarded an even higher salary in arbitration than he was asking for earlier this year, the Cleveland Indians' starter opted to make donations to various charities for 69 straight days.

So perhaps it shouldn't come as much of a surprise than when it comes to Christmas gifts, Bauer goes big. That was evident on Tuesday when the 27-year-old took to Twitter to share a video of himself gifting his father with a new truck.

"So here's the deal: for the last four years, my dad has been driving around my old truck from high school," Bauer says in the video. "This Christmas, he's going to be driving around in a new truck that I just surprised him with. Come check it out."

Although Bauer's salary for 2018 remains unknown as he heads toward arbitration for the second straight offseason, it's a safe bet he's in line for a raise. After being awarded $6.525 million an offseason ago, Bauer turned in a career-year, amassing a 12-6 record while totaling a 2.21 earned run average and 221 strikeouts. While an injury prevented him from competing for the American League Cy Young Award, Bauer still managed to be selected to his first All-Star Game in July.

Despite his stellar season, Bauer's name has been a constant in trade talks dating back to the start of the offseason. Whether or not the Indians will deal him will likely be determined in the weeks ahead -- but if they do, at least his dad's upgraded vehicle can help with the move.
