CLEVELAND — It's official: Zach Plesac is back.
The Cleveland Indians officially added the 25-year-old right-hander to their active roster and will give him the start Tuesday night in Kansas City against the Royals.
The irony?
Plesac takes Mike Clevinger's spot in the starting rotation. Clevinger, who was traded on Monday to the San Diego Padres, was with Plesac when the two starting pitchers violated team protocols in Chicago leaving the team hotel.

Tuesday will be Plesac's first start since Aug. 8 when he picked up his first win of the season against the White Sox. The same day he violated team rules.
Plesac is 1-1 on the season with an ERA of 1.29.
In order to add Plesac to the roster officially, the Indians needed to make a corresponding roster move sending right-hander Cam Hill to the club's Alternate Training Site in Lake County.
The Royals start veteran right-hander Matt Harvey on Tuesday night. Harvey is 0-1 on the season with an 11.12 ERA.
