CLEVELAND -- One day after Cleveland watched its iconic LeBron James banner depart from the Sherwin-Williams building, New Balance was quick to suggest a replacement.
Cleveland Indians fans have spent the week vying for a Francisco Lindor banner to take its place. Lindor, who is signed to an endorsement deal with New Balance, was the Indians' first-round draft pick of 2011.
On Wednesday, New Balance's baseball account tweeted its proposition for the replacement banner:
Fans had been suggesting the idea before the original banner was even removed following James' departure to Los Angeles. Propositions for a banner featuring Cy Young award-winner Corey Kluber have also been prominent.
