CLEVELAND -- After a slow start to the first month of the season, Jose Ramirez finally bounced back.
And the Cleveland Indians' All-Star third baseman did so in a big way.
Recording 4 RBIs -- including a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning -- Ramirez led the way as the Indians ended their three-game losing streak with a 6-2 victory over the Miami Marlins on Wednesday. Behind a strong 7-inning performance from starting pitcher Jefry Rodriguez, Cleveland had led for most of the way, before a Martin Prado home run in the top of the eighth tied the contest at 2.
It didn't take long for the Indians to regain their lead, however, with a 4-run eighth inning that began with a Jake Bauers' go-ahead RBI single and ended with a Ramirez 2-run double. With the win, the Indians advance to 13-10 on the season heading into a four-game road series against the Houston Astros.
