CLEVELAND — If he's anything like his father, Landon Thome may have just given Cleveland a glimpse of an exciting future.
Batting for his dad during Sunday's MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game, Jim Thome's son, Landon, showed that a big bat runs in the family.
Landon Thome smacked an RBI single in the third inning and advanced to second on the throw. He came around to score on an in-the-park home run off the bat of Cleveland rapper Machine Gun Kelly.
Jim Thome was on "Team Cleveland" during Sunday's "Cleveland against the world" celebrity softball game. Indians alumni Carlos Baerga, Kenny Lofton and Travis Hafner also played.
